Bruno was born and raised in France surrounded by wine enthusiasts. Through his parents and grandfather’s passion and experience, he learned about aging wine, buying wine and managing cellars. He has a great appreciation for finding and enjoying great wines with meals, every day foods and gourmet dinners.
Bruno bought his first case of wine at the age of 18 which consisted of a 12 bottle wooden-case of Château La Louvière, Graves, 1982. On his 25th birthday, he opened his first bottle in 1991, which was simply amazing. Bruno now has a personal collection of more than three hundred bottles in his cellar. He visited all the wine appellations in France, most of them in Spain, Portugal and Germany. A couple of trips in California exposed him to new world wine when he was just 19.
After 7 years as telecommunication engineer at France Telecom, and 7 more years a Director of a Vocational Training Center with over 4000 students, Bruno decided to achieve a dream: moving to Canada and work in the wine industry! The family of 4 moved to Vancouver in 2005.
Bruno has a great appreciation for wines from around the world and hopes to demystify the world of wine and share his knowledge and expertise in selecting the perfect beverages for your tastes.
His philosophy is that you should always try to find the best value, the best match ... and the best friends to enjoy.
