About Firefly
Anneliese Rush
Anneliese was born on the sandy north east coast of England. Adventure and opportunity lead the family to Canada. She has lived in almost every province from Newfoundland to British Columbia, spending most of her time in Montreal and Vancouver.
Love of wine and travel runs in her veins. Two of her brothers own vineyards in the Uco Valley, Argentina. She has travelled to Europe, Eastern Europe, The Middle East, Mexico, the Caribbean and most of the USA sampling the local wines and beers along the way. Every year, Anneliese goes to the Okanagan wine country tasting and touring the wineries.
A conscientious student of the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, she has earned her WSET Advanced Certificate and is currently completing her WSET diploma. She is also a French Wine Scholar and has her Introductory Level from the Court of Master Sommeliers. If you need to know about a wine, how it tastes or what to food pair it with, Anneliese has tasted almost all of Firefly’s wines, as well as, numerous beers.
